Because the iconic building that today houses our hotel tells stories about the many different people – from royalty and nobility to the German Armed Forces – who have stepped behind its walls since the end of the 17th century. 

The hotel has changed ownership several times over its long lifetime. In 1990, the hotel came under our wings – and since then we have breathed new life into these stories with careful brush strokes, palatial furniture and golden details. So when you stay with us, you aren't just surrounded by a hotel. You are also surrounded by a modern monument.
